All revolutionary new ideas have to pass through three stages, which may be summed up by these reactions: (1) 'It's crazy --- don't waste my time.' (2) 'It's possible, but it's not worth doing.' (3) 'I always said it was a good idea.'
Arthur C. Clarke

Typical Pine

The edge were tree meets field creates a haven for all sorts of critters.

Arctic Blue Willow

Salix purpurea 'Nana'

Arctic Blue is a dwarf willow, usually less than 3 feet tall, with very fine branches, and 2" long x 3/8" wide blue-gray-green leaves.

This is an ideal plant for a small yard, for use close to the house, or as an anchor specimen in a rock garden.

It can be used as a low hedge, foundation planting, or as islands of interest in the landscape.
