Tricolor Willow
Salix integra 'Hakuro-nishiki'
This is the most amazing willow I've ever seen.
The new leaves come out pink. The pink bleaches out after a couple weeks, and turns, white, then mostly goes green with bits of variegation in it.
The effect from a distance is that the willow is covered with small pink birds.
I've got 10 growing in my field now, and will be striking cuttings this summer. Watch and see.
