Native Potentilla
Potentilla fruiticosa
The parent stock plants were collected in the flats near the Saskatchewan River between Nordegg and Abraham lake.
From appearance native potentilla is a slightly smaller version of the yellow cultivars. I brought back 5 plants, potted them here, and used the prunings to strike a couple dozen cuttings. Most of the cuttings showed roots by leaf fall last autumn.
Quantities this year will be very small. As will be the size. Limit 1 per customer for the curious. Twice standard pricing.
