Before they bloom potentillas are hard to tell apart. After they bloom, it's slightly easier.
Potentillas tend to be more or less round ball shrubs with the outside of the ball being lightly sprinkled almost all summer with 1" diameter flowers. There are hundreds of cultivars many of them similar. I have chosen four to experiment with.
At this point they are still in trial. Check back in a year to see what's happening.
