Diablo Ninebark

Physocarpus opulifolius 'Diablo'

Diablo has very dark purple leaves. This makes it a wonderful contrast plant. It's a bit more open than most ninebarks. The flowers are actually noticeable. Clusters, about an inch and a half across of tiny white blossoms.

I've just started with Diablo, striking a few flats of cuttings last fall.
