I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see.

John Burroughs

Dart's Gold Ninebark

Physocarpus opulifolius 'Dart's Gold'

Dart's Gold has leaves that come out as golden yellow colour. However in hot weather they will go to a greenish colour.

Good contrast plant Diablo ninebark, to purple twig, or any of the purple leaved flowering plums

It presents as a loose mound, 3-4 feet tall. Bark sheds in long strips giving a layered appearance, hence the common name.

Like all of the ninebarks, Dart's gold has some tendency to sprawl. Prune hard in fall after leaf drop. If they get out of hand, cut them to the ground.
