Courage has got to be harder, Heart the stouter; Spirit the sterner as our strength weakens, here lays our lord, cut to pieces, our best man in the dust. If anyone thinks of leaving this battle, he can howl forever.

Battle of Maldon

Pin Cherry

Pin cherries are new to me. One of my suppliers, Boreal Horticultural had them last year. Judy's stuff is usually worth a try, so I ordered a box full. They have done well in their styroblock pots.

However, by last fall I had only managed to kill a handful. We'll see what happens in spring.

From my reading I expect this one to be another wildlife shrub. Plant it to distract the deer from the tastier (to humans) stuff in your garden.
