You can sway a thousand men by appealing to their prejudices quicker than you can convince one man by logic.

Robert A. Heinlein

Serbian Spruce

Picea omorika

I've got a box of these coming in. One of the tree guys for City of Calgary recommended these. Different sources rate the hardiness of this species as either zones 5-7 or 3-7. Never zone 4. Curious. There may be two distinct populations.

Anyway Serbian Spruce is supposed to be narrower, more graceful than other spruces.

1 Litre styroblocks available in fall for the adventurous, but please note we haven't declared these winter hardy to our satisfaction.

Soil preference: Moist, well drained.

Tolerates: Alkaline soil, wind.
