Advice & Opinions
This branch of our web page has a collection of articles with some of the things that I learned the hard way, tricks that may make your work with trees easier. Feel free to email me with your critiques. While I won't promise that you will change my mind, I will consider each and every one. Note that I may add your comment to the bottom of the article, especially if it is clear, thoughtful, and presents information that I didn't know.
Growers
This section is for my customers that put trees into the ground, and water, weed and fertilize them. It may be of interest to other tree farmers, but you probably know all this stuff anyway.
Design
Everybody's an Art Critic. Landscape design is an art, one that I've not mastered, but here I have some of my thoughts on how to use trees in the landscape; how to avoid some of the gotchas of working with something that starts at a couple pounds, and can be over a ton when it grows up.
Sellers
One of my target markets is the small greenhouse/garden centre owner who wants to add trees to their lineup. You'll find a few things here that may help.
Tree Farmers
Here's where I put the stuff that will help if you are growing a LOT of trees. It's basically a record of my mistakes, and the consequences of refusing to take on any debt to start the farm.
I've been informed that I need to have some sort of disclaimer so that when someone kills a tree, and claims that it was because of something he read here, that he can't sue me. Very well.
